-I've got a customer who is having problems with other company's auto attendant messages accepting the prompts she enters. Some places work and some do not. For instance. You call a company, it says "enter the extension number..." When you enter "28" it will say, "you have entered an invalid number" or something like that. But it will work with any other phone (cell phone), including the lines that are on this system if you remove them and test with a butt set. I did a "startup" on it because they were basically using the default setup anyway...But that didnt clear the issue. I'm just not sure. Let me know if you have something to try. I didnt think to get the specific system info, but I can find out if needed. Thanks alot.

could it be a bad port, strainge that only when you call in from a land line

I havent tried a line card, I think I'll try that. I thought of the long tone thing but talked myself out of trying it because sometimes it will work fine. But maybe I should at least try it. Thanks guys. I appreciate the help.

depending on the other companies auto attendent there might be an addjustment for digit cutoff time, good luck trying to get the other end to call out a tech though.
