I am using MS Access 2000 to create a query using Merant ODBC for Progress. I get the following error
- Datetime field overflow -

I can't change table properties in Progress.

Is there a workaround so i can still put this field in my query

What ODBC driver are you using? Some of them can be configured in the ODBC administration window or have bugs that cause this error. If you think it is a problem with the SQL data that is configured on your server, but you have read only rights to those settings, I might be able to help you with a program I wrote in 4GL.

I am using version 3.70. I don't think ODBC config is the problem because other queries are running fine including fields in the date/time format but i will recheck anyway

Additional info :

Driver : MERANT Datadirect Connect 3.70

Client software : MS Access 2000 SP1

Problem occurs ONLY if i use File DSN instead of System DSN
In system DSN i can configure the connection with
DefaultDateFormat=DMY

I tried to put this keyword in the .dsn file with no success

I also don't know wich keywords are accepted in the file.dsn format file
