i know but how do i change it programmaticly,
i want to change the definition of the database with delphi and not by hand

I have no experience with Delphi but have done it with VB. There are also sum undocumented stored procedures you can use with sql server to work for with the registry. Keep in mind these can change in the future releases. You can check this site out.

Hope this is sort of what you are looking for. I know it is not Delphi but may you can find it usefull.
