ODBC error:[MERANT][ODBC SQLBase driver]The keywords LEFT OUTER JOIN were
not found in an outer join escape sequence.

We have several Crystal Reports that we run yearly, monthly. Recently every
time we need to run a report we get the above message. No changes have been
mad to these reports or to our version of Crystal. These reports are shared
over our WAN. We have:

SQLbase Version: 6.1.2
Visual MFG System Version: 5.2.2
Visual MFG Program Version: 5.2.2.051

Our other locations run:
SQLbase Version: 7.5.1
Visual MFG System Version: 5.2.2
Visual MFG Program Version: 5.2.2.058

As I stated we have always done it this way and I cannot think of anything
that has changed?

Thanks so much for your help!

Kat

Did you ever find a resolution to this ? (I am having the same problem. :( )

The "ODBC error:[MERANT][ODBC SQLBase driver]The keywords LEFT OUTER JOIN
were not found in an outer join escape sequence." error you are getting is
most likely due to a problem with the database driver.

I would suggest you to try the ODBC DSN using the SQLCON32 utility.
Please refer to the following kbase article for information on how to use the ODBC DSN:
