odbc ora-1013

My developer runs a query that inserts records into a table that has one column with LONG data type. He also enters records into two other tables that dont have a long column. He is persistenlty getting ora 1013 on the one with LONG data type but never on the other tables.

Any one has experienced this before? I dont want to lead your suspition to the LONG data type but it seems that way at least.

Check if the sqlnet.ora file has expire_time set to 0. You can increase this value to 15 - 20 at least. This must be in the sqlnet.ora file on the Server, and is the
appropriate location.

If you are still getting the ora-1013, try commenting out the line altogether.
