I am using the Merant 3.60 Driver v9.1d to create an ODBC DSN to create a link table from Access to Progress.

Everytime I go to the table or try to query the table it asks for the password.

Is their any way to suppress the Password from coming up?

Are you using a system dsn?

You could try using a file dsn and modify the control file.

did that work for you carlp69..

i tried that and it worked for linking the tables, however.. when i run a query ..it still asks for the password.

any help would be appreciated!

can someone please tell me where you got that odbc driver? i have been tryign to find ti for quite some time now.

The 9.1d progress network client will install the ODBC driver on you machine. If you are using a version prior to 9.1 then progress did not supply a driver. Openlink and Merant both sell drivers for Progress's earlier versions and both have newer better drivers than 3.6. Progress has been waiting on releasing a new ODBC driver until OpenEdge10 comes out, which I believe it is out.
