I set up a Database/table in SQL 2000 and used an ODBC link to link to the external data in my Access 2003 project. The parent tracks Warranty Claims and the child Payments. I do not have a relationship set up in SQL.

I entered some data via my MS Access forms. Two child records for Claim 1 and one child record for Claim 2. When I look in the Enterprise Manager - Database - Child table the data looks like I added in the MS Access forms. When I look at the same child table in the MS Access Project, Claim 1 with two records did not appear correctly. It displays one of the records twice.

I've tried relinking table and I still get the incorrect data in Access.

I'm a bit confused! Any ideas would be great! Thanks.

It would help to know what the data looks like when you look in SQL and what it looks like when you look through Access. The info used when establishing your ODBC connection (from Access to SQL Server) might also be helpful.

Good Luck,

Alex

It's a magical time of year in Philadelphia. Eagles training camp marks the end of another brutal season of complaining about the Phillies.

Thanks Alex for your suggestions. I did figure out my problem. I needed a unique identifier on the child table. After I added that MS Access displayed the data correctly.
