Hello,

I am having a issue with my report and need your help.

I want to create a report from Crystal Report Version 9.2. the Data is from IBM DB2 Database. the problem is, I have 2 different tables called SO_HISTORY which is held all completed Sales Order and other table named SO_CURRENT which is held current Sales Order. these 2 tables are identical in fields. now I want to create a single report from those 2 tables. I did create a view that combine the 2 table together. the problem is ODBC driver is cannot see the view both client Access ODBC from IBM and ODBC from Crystal). and I don't want to create a Sub-report.

Do you know any ODBC that can see the view. or do you know any trick to combine this 2 tables.

Thank you

How did you create the view?

Can Crystal "see" any other simple views?

I would expect a View based on a UNION ALL SQL statement (appending the two tables to each other) to be visible without any problems to Crystal.

Cheers,

CUT, Visual CUT, and DataLink Viewer:
view, e-mail, export, burst, distribute, and schedule Crystal Reports.

Once you create a sql view, you need to give the user that the crystal report runs as access to the view.

Does your dba run a grants script when new views are added?

to verify a point. it is not a view as I mentioned above. it is a logical file that I created from the IBM DB2. I don't know it is different between the logical file and SQL view in DB2. I try to create a SQL view but can't. The thing is these 2 tables are as I mentioned identical in fields. for example the 2 tables have 5 fields in each table, I want to create a view with same 5 fields and combine all data from 2 tables. Can I do that? I try with UNION, and UNION ALL but my AS400 gave me an error (I am running version v5.1)
