Hi Guys

I have just finished an upgrade from Office 2000 to 2003.
When I try to import external data from an ODBC source nothing happens.

Steps
1. Select "File / Get External Data / Import"
2. Select ODBC from the drop down list of file types

AND THATS IT.
The dialog box closes and you are back to Access without having any other selections / choices.

This was working fine before upgrade. The ODBC config looks like it is still ok under Control Panel / Admin tools.

Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

I have now got the import to work.
I did 2 things not sure which one cured prob.

1. Norton NIS - Antivirus
Options > NAV > Miscellaneous / Unclick (switch off) "Turn Office Plug-in On"

2. The other thing I did was recreate an ODBC profile under control panel / adim tools / ODBC.

3.Reboot PC
Hope one of these works

Good Luck
