Hi,

I work for a manufacturing company that runs Sage CS3 Accounting package which contains a number of other modules for the manufacturing side of the company.

We would like to link this Sage CS3 system to other systems within the company for a seamless transaction processing. We have carried out a few tests and been able to read information using ODBC to MS Access but however, have been unable to write back to the Sage system. Does anyone have any ideas at all? Thanks and regards,

Francis (f_masinde@hi-lo.co.uk)

Just to clarify....the Sage CS3 is an informix database.....Please, any ideas on what I can do....? Thanks and regards,

Francis (f_masinde@hi-lo.co.uk)

My clients use Sage (now Best) MAS90 accounting software. This uses a ProvideX database. If this is part of the same company we use a module called Visual Integrator to import records to MAS90. The ODBC drivers, however, are read-only. As accountants, they don't want you writing directly to their database because it could mess up other data. Using the import function doesn't make it seamless, but it does allow us to link our various systems together.

Hope this helps.
Loring

Thanks so much Loring....I shall perhaps look at some form of integrator like the one you have just mentioned.
Thanks and regards,
