ODBC FAILED-Numeric value out of range

When I try to import data from a table (ODBC) ddf some of the tables import fine from the database and some always come up with the same errors as follows:

ODBC FAILED

followed by

PERVASIVE ODBC LIENT INTERFACE NUMERIC VALUE OUT OF RANGE(#0)

Can someone please shed some light as to what may be causing this. The other table I am working with are from the same directory and same field.ddf. I don't think my data is corrupt because I can see the data no problem with Peachtree
