We have Office 2002. Hopefully we will get 2010 this year...

I am trying to "Import External Data" into an Excel spreadsheet from a password protected Access database. I know the password and can get into the Access database directly using it. I do not want to go into the database as it is actively accumulating production data.
I set up a connection using "Connect to New Data Source" and set it up with the network path, user ID and password.
When I go to query, I get an error:
[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Not a valid password
If I do not save the password in the Data Source and put it in manually, I still get this error.
If I try to edit the Query, I sometimes get a Microsoft Query error: "Not a valid password"

Any ideas on how I can pull the data???

(BTW accidentally hit Esc and had to retype all of this ARGH!)

Nobody has any ideas? I thought this might be a network thing but does the same with the database copied onto my desktop...
