I have been trying to get eportfolio to work the way I want. I bought Crystal Reports 9 advanced. I made a test report from a sql server database but when I try to view it in e-portfolio I keep getting a request to log on the sql server - user_id and password. I don't want any users to do this. There is no reason for them to know the DB passwords.
I want them to open e-portfolio and select a report and be able to run it without password prompts

What you need to do is to go into the Management Console and go to Manage Objects and select that object. Once that object is selected then go to the Database tab, this is where you can enter the userid and password for the sql server.

Unless I am blind there is no management console for the RAS only available in Enterprsie Standard and above

I thought that the Crystal Management Console came with ePortfolio. You need that on the backend to manage all of the objects that you are going to be placing in ePortfolio. Do you have the ePortfolio Launchpad? It should be on that page.
