ODBC Connection not showing Stored Procedures

I am using Crystal Reports XI - when I connect to a database using the ODBC connection with a specific login - it shows me tables, views but not stored procedures. I can connect using another login and I can see tables, views and stored procedures.

Does anyone know what might cause one login to not have access to stored procedures?

Thanks for any insight.

Hi,
What database?

Usually that is a permissions issue controlled by the database administrator.

Under File, Options, Database tab, make sure that the stored procedures box is checked

Software Sales, Training, Implementation and Support for Macola, Synergy, and Crystal Reports. Check out our Macola tools:

I have worked with the DBA and there seems to be no difference between the two login accounts. Also, stored procedures are checked on the options menu.

It is an Oracle 10g database connection. If I login with one account, I can see stored procedures. If I login as the second account - I can not see the stored procedures.

If I use the Oracle native connector to login, I can see the stored procedures with both accounts. The issue only happens with the ODBC connection.

Hi,To confirm, you are using the exact same ODBC connection from the same workstation and the only difference is the loginID ?

That is correct - the same workstation - the same ODBC connection - just a different login. The DBA assures me that both login accounts have the same privelages.

Hi,
Odd...Not that I distrust what you are being told, but ask your DBA ( nicely) to show you the rights/roles/etc granted to those 2 accounts.
There must be some difference, given the situation you describe.
