Hi.

I am using an odbc connection (Linked table) to Mas 200, which usually works fine.

One d/b for what ever reason keeps asking me to log in. No other db's do it, just this one. So I am pretty sure I set something some where, but I can't figure out what.

Something in options I am guessing.

I am also linking to SQL server, these linked tables have "Save Password" checked, so there is no problem there, but I can't do the same with the Mas ODBC.

Any suggestions are appreciated,
ChaZ

When you link to a table you have the option of saving the password. I would guess that you forgot to set that option.

Hi FancyPrairie.

The ODBC source will not allow me to save the password. I don't really want it to anyway, since it's secure data.

The problem though is querying the data once has it asking for login info about 3 times.

I dunno what I did to this poor d/b.

If you're linking the tables, one of the options is to save the password. And if you have secured your database, then no one will be able to see the password.

You are correct, but the odbc driver asks three questions that are not stored.

Company name, user name, and password, so saving password doesn't really work.

I created a new db and imported all the objects into it, and this cleared up the problem for me.

I appreciate the help,
ChaZ
