ODBC call failed when connecting to Oracle DB

Hi there,

I am experiencing a strange problem (I am no Access expert by any means by the way). I am connecting to an Oracle 8i database using Access 2003. Sometimes my query works fine and returns data, other times the same query linking to the same table returns an error "ODBC Call failed" with no other messages.

Any ideas on what might cause this inconsistent behaviour?

I have this problem also.

I have determined for me that it is function of time. After some amount of time the ODBC connection is lost. Closing the database and reopening fixes the problem. Right?
