Octel time stamp reverting back to 1-1-1984

Hello-
I read the other string on the why and when the time stamp would revert back to 1-1-1984 on the Octel , my question is would changing the year back a year be ok, then I would be just a day off right?

In most cases just changing the year back does not resolve all issues. There are other areas of the Octel that require attention to make sure the system is running clean, especially after the system reboot on Nov 24th.
