Beyond user mailboxes, my Octel skills are non-existent. Our auto attendent will not pick up, so I need assistance finding and fixing the problem. Here is what I am looking to learn:
1. How do I find out what mailbox picks up the outside line?
2. How do I program the extensions that ring on the different prompts (i.e. "press one for sales," etc...)

It can be hard to find.

But if you know how to log on (?), you can post the printouts here in this forum or send them to me.
Use this link:
I would prefer to have the .l all printout, but also the
.l user, .l sch and the .l info will do.

To logon you use a PC with a teminal program like Hyperterminal, and set the data speed to 9600/7 bits/ Even parity/ 1 stopbit.
Just hit enter, and the screen will print: PASSWORD:
Enter it, and send an U for Update.
An . - prompt will appear, and you can type in the commands listet earlier.
Capture these data printouts to a log file.
When finished, type E for exit in the .-prompt.

Send the data to me or put it here, if not too big size.

Hi!

It is OK, I just need the .l sch and the .l info .
And also the .l user sd

///doktor

I guess that your auto attendants are in mailbox 2200 and 6400 (greetings) and that they use COS=245.
If you call the goup number (or 8001 to 8008) and press 2200 or 6400, you should hear the greeting of the auto attendant message telling callers to dial 1 for XXX and 2 for YYY etc.

Please post the .l sch and the .l info, so we can finish this one.

///doktor

Actually, I discovered that drive 2 crashed. The auto attendant was on mailbox 3000, and that was on drive 2. Since we have a maintenance contract with Avaya, I am having a tech come out to replace the drive. While he's here, I'll have him help me with setting up the Auto Attendant. Thanks for your time and help with this.
