Its been awhile since I have worked with the Octel and I need to shut down and reboot this weekend. Once you shut down with dump and you are bringing the system back up, what are the steps. The manual is very vague, and if I remember correctly you had to pick from : ^B , ^DB and ^DD.
What does each of these options do for me? I believe one of those options gets you to a prompt where you have to make another choice. Can anyone refresh my memory for me ? I would greatly appreciate it.

I hope this is what you need...

Please select from the following:

B Boot the System
^DB Boot the System (clear autoboot, set SRAM=0xFF)
^DD Run Diagnostics Interactively

Selection->

ENTER BOOT COMMAND:

B - Goes thru test start up process again

^DB - clears the last boot command
^DD - debug mode

A - if you want the machine to boot automatically after powerfailure, etc...

perfect..thanks alot man...much appreciated

Ok...same here. What is the next step after you enter "B"? The system restarts & just returns to the "Enter Boot Command" prompt. How do you get to the login prompt
