How do I or can I have one subscriber with mor ethan one VM.? In other words can I have a voice mail for me , my sister, my cousin and my friend under one number(Subscriber) How do I set up...?

Yes it is called the Home and guest1 guest2 mailbox. If your COS allows you to have it then you just setup a password for each one in personal options.

Then the user would press # and enter your MB number and the password for each one and they can send only to you not to anyone else on the system.

You would then send to MB 91 92 or 93 for each one.

I guess I dont have that feature in my switch. How and how much do I get and where?

It is a standard feature so it is on the system it may not be turned on in the COS

I figured out the COS but thanks, I went into the class of service 30 which is auto attendant with guest set to Y. But when I'm in a VM set up how do I assisgn someone else a VM It never promps me to set it up. I dont know where or what button number to push. Like * to end this session, 3 for greetings etc....

You must be in a type 0 user mailbox not an auto att one. from a type 0 press 4 for personal options then passwords and it will prompt you for home and guest

You would need to buy the feature bit from avaya or a buss partner like Tel-IS. Is that the feture you want tot use? or are you still trying to use home and guest Mailboxes

Yes I want to use that feature. Not home and guest( I think )I thought it was something I could just activate. But what you are saying is I can't?

That is right you can't it must be turned on by Avaya or an Avaya buss partner

Mailbox Type 30 we have and is automated attendant. But in the real world. I’m sure I can direct their calling group to a cell phone or so on. If I have a customer that has no PBX, has 3 lines all in a hunt group which all ID as the same number 516-xxxx example only. How would this application work? So one Voice mail built on 516-xxxx how do I build a calling group with no ext…or no direct DID’s? This is why I guess I came across the ext mailbox type. Because one mailbox number can have other mailbox greetings, right????

Example only: “If I call Joe at his one number and get a Voice Mail and I want to leave Sally his wife a Voice mail by pressing 1, 2 , or 3. Can Automated Attendant accomidate that?

How many users are on the system? You can use a type 31 and then add the mailboxes as a type 0. From the type 31 you would record the greeting that would say for john doe press 1 for sally smith press 2 and so on.

I'm just going to go with what I got right now which is AA I wish I could activate ext mailboxes, but I was told that would be a charge of $500. Thanks..
