Disconnect problem.
We have a phone number with voicemail. If you call this number directly you get transfered to their voicemail box with no problems. If you call the pilot number and press * then their mailbox number, you can leave them a message. However, if you call the pilot number and then enter in their mailbox number, the system says "please hold" then you get dead silence for around 8 seconds, hear a clicking sound (like transfering somewhere), then you get disconnected in a few more seconds. I have tried this with other mailboxes on the system and I get transfered to the ringing extension...any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

sounds like the ext number in the malbox profile is not the same as the mailbox number when you dial an ext number it may be matching on the mailbox. what type of octel do you have ?

KenMeans - I appreciate your time in helping me with these problems. I have an Aria 250 software rls 3.01.02-1. The ext number is the same as the mailbox number. The only difference this mailbox has from another (working) mailbox is that it has an Express Address, which is the same as the extension. I tried removing this Express Address, tested it, and it still did not transfer. I ran the CDR against the mailbox. It stops at the (TRANSFER). It does not go to (Trees, Normal Entry) then to (Session Mode Set). the other mailbox I tested did go to TNA then to Session Mode Set.

check the auto att mb and see if check matching mb is a yes or no. also is the mb in a community ? it must be if it is using express address. and are all of the mb's in the same one

yes, all mbx's are in the same community. checking on the att mb.

how do I check the auto att mb? what menu?

It sounds to me like when you enter the mailbox number the Octel is dialing the number with transfer supervision turned on. and your auto attendant is a tranfer to number mailbox.
