We currently have an 8Mb ADSL connected to our Cisco 2800. Sometimes the ADSL is really even at weekends when vet few people are in.
Is there a way to check the current upstread/downstream speed is? Would be very useful.

Thanks
Ski

I assume you have a WIC-1ADSL interface and the ISP doesn't provide Ethernet? If so you can type 'show dsl interface atm 0' where '0' is the slot the WIC-1ADSL is installed in.
I have an 837 fixed-config ADSL router and the output from mine is:

Training log buffer capability is not enabled yet.
cisco-837#

The upstream/downstream is on the Speed (kbps) line. My service is 2Mbps (2272Kbps downstream & 288Kbps upstream).

Yes I should have mentioned it's a WIC-ADSL and the command shows the speed etc.

Brillient. Thank you.

Hiya,

Got a 1721 router with WIC ADSL and a few questions:

1) What does 'activations' refer to?

2) What is the 'training log buffer capability' and how is this enabled?

Thanks,

Sahajesh.
