good day!

i want to restrict some users on a specific folder in xp. how do i locate/add the domain users in the security tab? do i have to login on the xp machine using the domain admin account?

i tried the url that you posted, but when i got to step #3, the message is:

An object named "domainuser" cannot be found.

i already tried the examples given on the "select this object type" but still i can't find the domain user account. i tried logging in using the domain admin account to the local pc and still i cant find the domain user account.

do yo know how to change the "Locations" when electing users or groups? i cant change it, it searches on the local machine only.

got any ideas? im stuck!
