We have an Spectralink OAI Gateway model MOG 700 (old unit) with spectralink wifi 8440 phones when programming the Curser is so slow you want to trash the unit. We are telnetting into it via putty is there a setting we need to change to allow this to work properly?
It does work and changes can be made and you can read the screen correctly but programming a phone or going from screen to screen real slow. Any thoughts? Thanks Joe

Try tutty with a different terminal type.

reboot the gateway.

upgrade to the most recent software level.

dont use telnet use ssh (just because its secure)

THANKS MontyZummer for your help really appreiciate your effort! What I did find out is that the OAI server off a network connection IS slow and there is no fix. You need to connect via Serial and use one of those Digi devices to a server to make it livable. Cant beleive it but true. Thanks again!

Have you tried disabling the auto-tuning diagnostic in Windows 7?

c:netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled

Microsoft Support KB article:

When the receive window autotuning feature is enabled, older routers, older firewalls, and older operating systems that are incompatible with the receive window autotuning feature may sometimes cause slow data transfer or a loss of connectivity.

The default auto-tuning level is "normal", and the possible settings for the above command are:

disabled: uses a fixed value for the tcp receive window. Limits it to 64KB (limited at 65535).
highlyrestricted: allows the receive window to grow beyond its default value, very conservatively
restricted: somewhat restricted growth of the tcp receive window beyond its default value
normal: default value, allows the receive window to grow to accommodate most conditions
experimental: allows the receive window to grow to accommodate extreme scenarios (not recommended, it can degrade performance in common scenarios, only intended for research purposes. It enables RWIN values of over 16 MB)

This worked great for me on Windows7
