I have an O2 with a compaq monitor 17"
Running 6.5.15
All my colors look greenish ? weird looking.
When I make a screendump and copy this picture the colors are okay .
I tried a different monitor from sony, but same result.
It has to be a parameter (I think)

Anyone had this problem and knows hoe to solve it ??

Thx

Henry

There are settings in IRIX where you can change the "Gamma map " of a certain color. That can be found under
Toolchest, System, Display Properties, Gamma.
Make sure to save your existing settings first and then manipulate to get the proper colors back. Be sure to Login as root for making this changes

Also, you can first try changing the settings to Factory Defaults by Clicking on Edit in the Graphics Back End Control to Reset to Original Settings

Hello,

I had the same issue. when i connected my o2 to a Hyundai deluxscan 17B+ and to my disapointment the screen was coming up with the mentioned green mist. i have some other monitors, and without adjusting gamma features Hooked on
the other monitors one by one. monitors with a Sync on green (SOG)in the setup menu worked alot better, darker but not green. One of my monitors (LG Non-Branded 19") has an extended menu where one can adjust Video Level Voltage between 0.7 and 1.0 volt. adjusting it to 0.7 gives me a clear and crisp image.
I have compared it with a recently aquired SGI monitor and (apart from the dpi and reslulotions) gives the same picture.

:)
