We have a cs1000 that was upgraded a couple years ago to 5.0 Since the upgrade we have had issues with adding prefixes. All of our NPA's, local prefixes, overseas prefixes, and DSN prefixes are in ac1. The problem is that we have some that conflict. Is there a way to seperate these so you can have the same NXX but going to different Rli's?

What do you mean they conflict? What conflicts? This should have had nothing to do with the upgrade. An NXX can only be put in AC1 once.

we have to out the prefix or NXX and build as a SPN to call overseas because conus NXX conflict with overseas nxx or DSN. (example is 312)

I understand the SPN part but you cant have an NXX and a SPN that are the same. I am wondering if there is a way that you can or if there is a better way to handle it. right now there are numbers that i need in 4 different places. Local Prefix, Area code, Overseas code, and DSN. thanks for helping.

Are you in the US? If so there should not be any conflicts like this or everyone would have this issue. For example

312 would be put in as an NXX
1312 would be put in as an NPA
Overseas code would be prefaced with 011 then 312 if that is a country code
Not sure what DSN is

ok i tried that and it works. DSN looks like the only one that would be a problem. DSN is for military installations. Different countries have different codes kind of like calling commercial. These codes are what is conflicting. Can i tie the route to AC2 and put them in there? Thanks again.

You could build AC2 but it would have a different access code.

Thanks. I think AC2 would be my best option. we already have to put 94 to make dsn calls anyway. How would i point 94 to AC2? Thanks
