Hi.
When trying to run NWadmn32 from my workstation (I have Admin rights), it displays the splash screen and then stops responding. This just occured recently and was running fine until a few days ago. No error messages, just stops responding.

Any help or suggestions to point me in the right direction would be (and is) greatly appreciated.

Could be a client issue , try reinstalling it then launch NWAdmin

We have found NWADMIN extremely picky. The following are situations that have caused us the same problem:
System resources are too low. I have 700+MB memory and it still uses 55% or more resources. I keep all other applications closed while running it. I've had it take 2 minutes to come up or it forgets what it was doing. On occasions when I check the task bar it shows not responding and if I leave it for several minutes it will come up. I am running WIN98 and have thread issues...not enough. NWADMIN works better with NT or 2000. Check your version of NWADMIN so that it works with the GW version you have.

Try copying the nwadmin(win32) directory to your hard drive and run it from there. You will have to edit the registry for your snapins to work.

Looks like it was actually a problem with a corrupt Backup Exec DLL. It was causing other problems with our file/print server. I reinstalled Backup Exec and the tape drive to our Border Manager server and all seems to be working fine now.

Thanks again for all your advice and suggestions.

Any comments/experiences/advice on Backup Exec v8?
