NVM - DTMF Tones in AA not directing calls properly

I have a client with a Norstar MICS 4.1XC witha NVM-NAM 4.0.04C - Fiber 8 channel

They have (11) LS/DS Analog Trunks, NO CLID.

On inbound calls, their AA answers on 0 rings.
When trying to dial a KNOWN extension number, the system must be mis-interpreting the DTMF signal. The error is "invalid extension".

If you go to the Spell-by-name directory (if you can get there!) it NEVER Interprets the proper digits associated with the name and offers the " no matches found" error.

I have already changed the AA to answer on 1 ring and on 2 rings, with the same results.

This system has been up and working for a year with no problems.

Could this be a problem in the trunk card, causing the NAM to misinterpret the DTMF??

Any other ideas??

not sure if the dtmf rec. in on the trunk card or not. might be better if you post this in the norstar keysystem forum. this is for meridian pbx post. very few of us have much time on both systems
