nVidia GeForce 2mx Issues

Hi,
I had this problem on Windows XP , so I downgraded to W2k and now it seems to be happening as well. I have a Chaintech Video Excel card that is an NVidia GeForce 2MX and whenever I play games it just freezes up. I have Warcraft III installed and it freezes at the menu.
I have put my display at 800x600 and 16bit but yet the problem still occurs.
Any suggestions or anyone else running this card with no problems ?

Just a thought , someone told me the 30.xx series performed best on GF2 cards .Because newer ones has focus/optimations on newer cards than GF2.

I am using 44.03 with Win98 and it is running fine. I ahd a problem of an error message about disabling TV-Out and this download solved the problem.

I wonder if it might be because of using Directx 9.0 ? I wonder if maybe I need to just go back a version to 8 ?

It is related to Win2K/WinXP and the latest NVidia drivers.
Stick with the 30.xx drivers. Had the same problem, also with Warcraft and no fuss anymore when using older drivers.

I also am having problems with my driver update for my GF 2 MX 400, however, where can I download drivers from besides the NVIDIA site, which now forces you to download only their latest drivers, from what I can see.
