Hi, Question -- Is a Featurenet route subject to NUTRI scrutiny, or can a parameter be set to make it work???
Cheers

D10 of SERV determines if the route is subject to NUTRI. Check with ROCAP:ROU=??; The value of SERV D10 can be 0-7.
0 = Not Supported
1 = Number conversion shall be made
2 = Bearer Capability substitution
3 = 1 + 2
4 = High level compatibility substitution
5 = 1 + 4
6 = 2 + 4
7 = 1 + 2 + 4

What is Bearer Capability substitution. In which trafficcase this Parameter has a sense?

I have never used Bearer Capability Substitution, so this is a bit of a guess, but here goes.. Every route has a BCAP (Bearer capability). Speech, 64K unrestricted, 64K restricted 16 K etc. Consider you had an outgoing route that was compressed i.e. could not handle 64K unrestricted, and another non-compressed route that could handle all traffic to the same destination. If an incoming call arrived at the PABX that required 64K it would need to be routed via non-compressed route. Ordinary voice however could go via the compressed routed. The NUTRI can anlayse the incoming call based on the number dialled and change the bearer capability requirement.
I am sure some of the wiser gentlemen (or ladies) out there will correct me if I'm wrong.
