Is anyone using using Nutanix Acropolis OS with AHV instead of ESXi? Exploring a move away from VMware.

You may want to wait. Avaya's current position is to no longer support software only deployments and go 100% OVA however there are some discussions internally to go the opposite direction. Broadcom threw a wrench in the mix.

Jimbojimbo,

That boat already sailed. Installing the first of 4 HA pair of ASBCEs on AHV. What you told me gives me some hope given Broadcom/VMware's sudden changes to their previous model.

The messaging on this has changed a few times from Avaya. I was told (but don’t have it in writing… yet) that Nutanix will be supported going forward, and software only is positively supported going forward. They have flip flopped a bunch the past year on this, but I think the Broadcom logo on VMWare made this an easier choice.
