Two Part Question:
1) Can you import a WAV file with a message, so I can send out in Distribution List

2) can you network a NuPoint system with a CallXpress system ?

Hey Semper,
Tough to help you out without additional info.
What type/version of Nupoint are you on?
Type of phone system?

Later versions of Nupoint can do smtp and/or web access or hooks into Exchange. So, yes wav files are accessible.

Networking? Yes but there are different kinds of networking.
What is it that you are expecting out of the vmail networking piece?
There are "default" networking abilities between manufacturers but almost always they are costly add ons.

I am on Nupoint version 11. but from my undestanding when we purchased the system, we didn't all the features for unified messaging. Nupoint can send voicemails to our email boxes. We are on a 3300 ver 9, mitel system.
The goal is to send a Message from a WAV file to a Distribution List.
or
Connect our Nupoint to a CallXpress system that is on an Avaya System.

Nupoint 11 is fully capable of sending SMTP messages to an email server to be distributed as you see fit. I am uncertain whether it is a purchasable option or simply included with the base software.

As far as networking to the CallXpress is concerned, Nupoint is also capable of sending VPIM messages to another VPIM capable voicemail. VPIM capability is required at both ends and is most likely a purchasable option.

Hey KwbMitel; thank you for the info.. On the Nupoint issue, yea we currently have Nupoint sending SMTP messages.
I guess what I am trying to do, is import a WAV file, into a voicemail box, and send in a Dist List.

Importing is not likely. Can't say 100%, never tried.

What I know some of my customers have done is to play the message out of the computer speakers while recording into the VM via a nearby set on speakerphone.
