Does anyone know if this type of scenario is possible?

I need to have 2 3300's be able to communicate with each other but, one system is in a secure area and users in the secure area cannot have access to users in the other area.....so with that IP integration is out. Since the sites are connected by Fiber, we can just connect the 2 3300's together using qsig.

As for the voicemail, does anyone know if a qsig or any other physical connection method can be used to connect the nupoint system to the secure system?

again there can be no IP connectivity between sites and that is the reason to stick with the "physical" connections.

Using the fiber connect nsu's from each system where the NSU's can be connected back to back.

Then integrate using Xnet over PRI.

Full Integration possible at the same level as IP trunking without the limitations of Qsig.

P.S. The Xnet over PRI can also be done thru the PSTN connections.

For either scenario you need to know how many simultaneous calls are required. The number of channels required on PRI is 1 more than the required voice channels (Virtual D channel consumes the addl channel)

23 Channels of PRI can support 22 Simultaneous Xnet Voice Calls

If using PSTN you will require 1 DID per system per site for a fully meshed network. Or for hub and spoke the hub requires 1 DID for each system (including itself) and the spokes require 2.

e.g.
Meshed
2 sites require 2 DID's each
3 sites require 3 DID's each
...
10 sites require 10 Did's each

Hub and Spoke
2 Sites require 2 DID's each
5 Sites, Hub req's 5 DID's and spokes req 2ea
10 Sites, hub requires 10 DID's and spokes req 2ea

I understand you can't have IP connectivity between the sites, but why can't you have IP connectivity between 1 site and the Nupoint that is co-located? You don't have to also have IP between the Nupoint and the second site as the since the 2 sites already connected via either Xnet or Qsig, the voicemail will be able to integrate to both.

I was assuming the Nupoint would be centralized and connected to 1 switch via IP. The question appeared to me to be more of a question about how to connect the 2 switches not about Nupoint Integration. Based on your Subject line I guess I need to question these assumptions.

Can you clarify?
