I'm trying to import a huge list of mailboxes. Docs say to use Filezilla to ftp a .csv or .tsv file into the NuPoint. I've tried this with username=ftp, password=@ (like the 3300), I've also tried username=ftp, password=<my admin login password> and every other known combo. Does anyone know the default ftp username/password in the NuPoint Messenger version 5.0?

access text console, login as root, password is your administrator password

Yeah, that's what I thought, but it failed. However, I found a way to do it. 1. Create your Excel file as .tsv or .csv as noted in the Mitel Guide. Then store that file on your PC/laptop in a directory/folder that you've given your ftp server software access to (I used GuildFtp). Then log into the NuPoint Linux root and type "cd ftp", then use standard ftp commands such as "open XXX.XXX.X.XX" or the IP address of your PC/laptop running Guild. Then type "get <filename>", then close/quit ftp and change directory to the tmp in Linux. There was my file and I was then able to "import_mailboxes <filename.tsv>" just fine. I should work for Mitel tech writing department, perhaps?

Try using WinSCP and use your root login to the NuPoint. You probably don't have an FTP server enabled on the server.

WinSCP can use SSH.
