Nupoint Fax

Hi,

I'm new to Nupoint. I'll eventually get training in about 3 weeks from now but am busy with an installation right now that just couldn't wait.

my question is around faxing.
I've managed to get inbound faxing to work but am having difficulty with outbound faxing.
I have 2 line groups, one is nupoint voice (for incoming) and using lines 4001 to 4004. My second line group is a Pager Dialer (for outgoing) and using lines 4005 - 4007.

I've assigned two fax groups. 1 for incoming and 2 for outgoing. In turn these fax groups are assigned to the line groups 1 and 2 respectively. I've also assinged channels to these fax groups however it would appear that fax groups can't share channels. Is this by design or am I doing something wrong.

Simply put can I have my 4 fax channels serve as both incoming and outgoing channels.
I'm thinking not...

I think you will need to add another index in your Pager Dialler. Currently you have:

Pager Systems:
Pager System [0], Pager Name = "Fax"
Access code = [T], Hold time = [20]

Add the following
Pager Systems:
Pager System [1], Pager Name = "Fax External"
Access code = [T9], Hold time = [5]

Then change the -

Specify the Call Placement Pager Access Type = 1

This might work.

Oh and make you you add the 1 to the pager systems supported line

I read that bit but I didn't need it in the end. the LCOS option I was missing (didn't set) was a call placement limit.

I checked a gazillion times and missed it every single time.
eventually it stood out like a sore thumb.

now it works!

as a last bit to the post, can users receive their fax receipts for completed and failed faxes in their email inboxes?
