Nupoint: we have 10 VM ports. Under line groups, we have configured a total of 4 line groups: 1 for MWI, 1 for each office location (3 total locations); each office location has 3 ports dedicated to their office.
We, at times, have VM issues (VM not answering due to no ports available) because when you dial the VM #, it is programmed to pull from VM ports 1-10. If location 1 is programmed w/ ports 0-2, and a caller is routed to recipients VM and it picks port 0-2 (which main VM # can do), VM never answers.
So here is my thinking/questioning:
What purpose does the administrator mbox serve? Can it be removed since each port is designated as an attendant mbox?
Can I create 2 line groups: 1 for MWI (needed) and 1 for all other VM ports (1-9) knowing that each location will get a dedicated phantom extension that directs them to the designated mbox for that location?
