I recently upgraded a 3300ICP LX from 6.1 to 9.0.0.41. Customer is using a NuPoint via IP integration. Within the 3300 we have suite services setup. Each guestroom (this is a hotel) has 2 lines per room. First line is 5 plus the room number (example 5723 room 723) and the 2nd line is 7 plus 50 plus. Example - room 723's 2nd line is 7773. So these 2 lines are members of the suite. The pilot number of the suite is 7 plus the room number. Heres my problem...in the NuPoint I have mailboxes built matching the suite pilot number (7 plus room number) we can call the guestrooms and leave messages, the message light goes on and even goes off if I delete the mailbox. The problem is you cannot retrieve the message. When you dial the voicemail pilot from the guestrooms first line it acts as if it doesnt recognize the mailbox. If I change the mailbox number within the nupoint to match the 1st line ext number you cannot leave a message if dialing the rooms suite pilot number. I even tried changing the extension number within the mailbox (example: in mailbox 7723 changed the ext number to match the 1st line 5723) - this still doesnt allow you to checkk the message. Any thoughts....Thanks

A quick search revealed a likely candidate for your issue
- From the Help files said:
When Shared Telephone Service (STS) is disabled on a Suite, Wake-up, and Voice Mail for each Suite Extension is handled independently, with the exception of incoming calls to the Suite Pilot Number (presented to all Suite Extensions with call delivery type of immediate and using the Voice Mail of the Primary Suite Extension). This will provide the flexibility of having 2 people share a room under a single Suite Check-In and allow for individual messaging and wake-ups.

Thanks , but I already seen that. I have it setup correctly and still it is acting like its independant when in fact I have it setup for shared services. I cannot figure this out for the life of me. Ive been working on Mitels for 15 years and certified in every system but this has really humbled me......

Setup a display phone with the same COS as the VM and call it from a room. Observe the displayed number calling. This is what is used for Nupoint Integration. If it does not display the Suite Pilot, you've missed something in the setup.

have you tried putting the other extension numbers in the alternate extn field in the main mailbox (7723)
If you open the mailbox and click the advanced link you will see the alternate extn numbers try putting the other numbers in here and see if that helps

If the Suite is not displaying the proper extension there might be implications outside of VM such as SMDR. Supernova's suggestion may work as far as the Nupoint is concerned but it doesn't cover the fact that it should work without it.

A new form was introduced for Suite Services. Have you completed this form?

Guest Rooms form
Enter the suite pilot number for each guest room.

This is in addition to the Suites form.

SX Wizard - I have filled out the Guestroom ext form -
Supernova - Im running NuPoint 10.0 - I do not see an advanced tab when creating a mailbox via Putty. Is this an option via the web based gui?

Im going to try setting up a display phone to see what number is coming up when a guestroom is called. If it comes up with the actual 1st line ext number instead of the suite pilot number , not sure what Im going to do. Wont know until I try - I'll keep you guys posted. Thanks for the suggestions.

Hi chode79,
Hmm I am not sure this is possible on rel 10 you can however check to see if it is there.
Connect via putty interface select maintainence select modify mailbox enter the number and then keep pressing enter until you see ALT#-1,ALT#-2 etc. and add the numbers if the entries exist.

I setup a display set with the same class of service as my vm ports. I then called that extension from guest line 1 and it did come up with the suite pilot number so I know that the 3300 is sending the correct digits which is the suite pilot number. I have mailboxes setup within the nupoint that match the suite pilot number but I still cannot check messages from a guest line. Again, it acts as if the extension Im calling from does not have a vm box setup. Heres the weird part - if I create a mailbox with the first lines extension number (first line is 5325 and I create a vm box 5325) it recognizes it when I call the voicemail pilot. So that tells me that the nupoint is not recieving the suite pilot number (7325). Its recieving the first line ext number. But when I call a display phone from line 1 it comes up as the suite pilot number and not the first line ext number. I cannot figure this out!!!!!!Why is the nupoint recieving the line 1 ext number but when i call a display phone (setup display phone w the same COS as the vm ports) it displays the suite pilot number. I guess the ICP knows to display the suite number when line 1 is calling but the nupoint doesnt know how to convert line 1 to the suite number.......any help would really be appreciated.

i found the issue - I was running NuPoint software release 10.0 UR1 - this release did not have suite services integration. They came out w a patch in UR2 which fixed this. Im upgrading the system now.
