I am using CR6 and have placed several numeric fields on a report to contain currency values. I am limit by the report requirements to the width of the fields.

When a currency value exceeds the available field length it truncates the value, so leading to a misleading report. Is it possible to force a wrap, or preferably to display hashes (as in MS XL)?

KeithMawhinney: Only thing I can suggest would be to convert your currency fields to text (consider placing them in Text Objects). You can then set the text to Can Grow and this would have the effect you seek David C. Monks

And, once you get to V7, you get to turn off the 'feature' called "Field Clipping" and get an Excel style overflow indicator. Ken Hamady

Thanks for the options. We are at the final stage of a 2+ year development and the thought of moving the currency formatting to SQL to allow us to make use of text fields is not attractive. Nor is moving to CR7 for that matter.

Is is possible to run CR7 reports with the version 6 report engine - that might provide me with a safer option?
