numbering semi continu

I have defined two styles for auto numbering notes with tables and one for notes with illustrations.

I want that the numbering of both is independant.
Now I only get this:
- figure 1
- table 2
- figure 3

I do want to have this:
- figure 1
- figure 2
- table 1
- figure 3
- table 2
- table 3
etc.

Who is wiling to help me how to do this?

Set up two paragraph styles

One paragraph style for figures and one for tables

For the numbers of the figures you need to "Define a List"

You need two Lists. In the screen shots below, I have defined two lists. You can see where I have List 2 and I have highlighted where the New List is.

This is in the paragraph styles.

With this way of working, your tables will continue from the last table number, and your figures will continue from the last figure number.
