I am trying to set up 5 digit dialing between two different locations (separate area codes)
Both PBX's are Nortel Meridian 1 (Option 61C/and a 81C)
I have never done this, could really use some help

thank you,
Serap

You need to provide more information
what are the numbering plans for both switches.
what is the link, ie E1/T1/VNS ??

Ooh..ooh, i have done this for 4 PBX's, in one weekend!!!!

There are some items you will need to consider.

One. - Are the extensions between the two PBX's unique? or are there same extensions on both locations?

If there are, resolve this first. If not then you should b e good to go.

Two. - Are you using MAT/OTM/ or the Terminal to make your changes. MAT will slow down with messages appearing on the terminal, so this could slow you down. We manually programmed the extensions.

Three - Are you using a TIE line between the locations, or are you just going to add on teh 1 -XXX - part of the phone number.

Answer these first. email me at janaya1@satx.rr.com if you want to talk about it.

John

You just need to make sure
