write & read procedures are still the same. To erase eic code, you must downgrade firmware.

if you have r7A > you cannot downgrade to 6A...is there a different procedure to downgrade the NIU2??

Daddy, is it going to work? I heard the procedure might not work for the NIU2.

You can't do this procedure on NIU2. this was only valid on NIU.

So if this procedure is not valid for NIU2 can someone advise what the procedure is for NIU2?

Thanks

like it has always been, send the board to Aastra and pay $$$ to clear EIC code. It's a matter of licensing politics...

That's great when you can send it to Aastra and they can do it for you, but when your in AUS and Telstra monopolise the industry and are the only one's you can go through and they won't repair it and want to sell you a new one for $$$$$ what do you do.

And by the way if it is a matter of licensing politics then how come every man and his dog puts the NIU erasure procedure up on this site! Also if anyone (vendors) really cared about it that much then this site would be 90% shut down as I'm sure they would prefer people went on correct training courses instead of getting backdoor and programming guides from here.

NIU erasure was possible in early NIU firmwares and this was leaked on the site. btw, this site is monitored by Aastra people...

Send an email to Aastra directly and ask them how to proceed, you shouldn't buy a new board for license erasure.

or contact a good service provider, they can arrangr this for you...
