There is a way but you need a Server with a folder that the Nupoint server can reach and has access to.

Steps are as follows:

1.Login to the Nupoint Console

2.Type S <rtn>

3.Type L (NPM BackUP)<rtn>

4.Type M (Lan Backup Using MS Networking)<rtn>

5.Fill out the detail and do a test backup.

6.exit out of that menu.

7.Type S,R,R and go into Offline menu.

8. Type B to duplicate Databases.

9. Type W (Auto Task Menu)

10.Type D (Backup Menu)

11. Fill it all out

That will auto backup the Nupoint to a server Folder on daily basis.

Do a Copy Offline -Online swap.

This does work for a Nupoint Model 70 on 11UR2.

Ho

Is the above using a mapped drive? If so how do you map it?

Cheers

You could also use the FTP method, which is simular.

If you have a ent/ops server, this will send the files to the default FTP folder on the server.

I like the FTP method best myself, just make sure you clean out the target folder on a regular basis. The backup process creates a new folder each time the backup runs, so if you don't clean out the old stuff you can fill up a drive pretty quickly.

The drive is not mapped you put the MS Path in to get to the folder you want.
Its a shame its buried so deep in the menus as its a good function, it would good to have it on the MN3300, as customers can be lacking on backups for systems if they haven't got OPS/ENT.

Do you mean a standard network share i.e. \\opsserver\backup ??

Cheers for the help guys!
