I keep getting errors in the eventlog complaining about not being able to sync time from a dc or an external time source. Is this much of an issue can I disable this service?

From a command prompt time net time and see who it's looking to for it's time.

I'm Certifiable, not cert-ified.
It just means my answers are from experience, not a book.

this error is on the DC which when a net time is run shows itself. Also all domains member look at this dc for their time.

"The time provider NtpClient was unable to find a domain controller to use as a time source. NtpClient will continue trying to locate a DC every 960 minutes. This message will not be logged again until after a domain controller is found. "

This message appears in its log. Surely if it is lookig at itself for the time it should not be looking for another domain controller?
