I am fairly new to Windows XP (long time Win2k user). When I do a fresh install of Win XP (NTFS format), I'm not getting a security tab (premissions) on any folders properties. I don't have any problems when I use an OEM installation. Any ideas.

Are you using Zonealarm? Hewissa

Do you have Simple File Sharing enabled (it is by default)

Start>My Computer>Tools>Folder options. Make sure that the Simple File Sharing box is not checked.

I do not see an option for Simple File Sharing in Start>Tools>Folder Options. Any other ideas?

Thank you for your help, the problem seemed to go away once I joined my domain.
