I am trying to install Oracle Applications ERP Release 12 on Windows XP. When I try to a particular exe file (ccmsvc.exe), I get the following error message on the event viewer.

Faulting application ccmsvc.exe, version 0.0.0.0, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 5.1.2600.5512, fault address 0x000249ab.

Does anybody know waht might be causing this error.

Are you running or installing the program as an Administrator?

Are any of your security type programs interfering with the install?

Path conversion design flaw in NTDLL

There is a design flaw in the way that NTDLL performs path conversion between DOS style path names and NT syle path names.

This is in XP SP2 and W2kSP4, if XP SP3 is also hampered, I cannot say...

I am running as Adminstrator.
I disabled the Antivirus and Anti Spyware programs while running the program.
