Receiving errors in my event viewer for NTDLL.DLL. Anyone know how to replace this file without reinstalling windows xp pro? Can't copy in Windows, says its being used by another program. Thanks in advance.

Could you post your Hijack This! log here?

In most cases NTDLL.DLL errors are indications of a hard disk or controller problem, rather than a file problem. Could you also post a detailed error message from Event Viewer?

Here is the detailed error message:

1. Control Panel, Internet Options, clear your Tempoarary Internet Files and History.

2. Internet Options, Advanced, disable the use of third-party browser extensions.

Reboot and test.

No luck. The error occurs when I click Save picture as... and then i get the error when I switch to the C drive from the default My Pictures directory. I do randomly get these errors in other pieces of software... recently my DivX player, but they're inconsistent. This error is consistent... any time I try to save a picture it happens.

You had mentioned controller problems... I have recently added a ATA PCI Card to my mobo to add a DVD-RW drive.

I was concerned about hard disk issues, so I suspect adding that ATA card is not an issue if it only hosts the DVD drive.
