Hi. I am try to do a full system backup over night but I am having a problem in that two tapes are required and when I get in the next day the backup has failed as "the requested media failed to mount". How can I make it wait for me to insert the next tape in the morning?

First, I would make sure that you have compressions turned on. The command-line for it is "/HC:ON".

I think you have to ensure the backup is not shutting down after a certain period. I thought, by default, it was 72 hours.

Also, check the scheduled task...it could be set to kill the job if it stands still for a certain time.

Thanks for the replies. Hardware compression is on, 72 hours is the kill time in the scheduled task.
