I have an interresting dilemma. One of our servers went down recently and when I went to restore from tape I am getting this error "Poll drive failed: severe error - shutting off poll drive". I have an adaptec 2100s RAID controller using RAID 0 and I am using NTBackup. When I put the tape in I have to move it from the free media pool in removable storage to the backup media pool. Then I go into NTBackup restore and right click on the tape and select catalog. That is when I get the error. can anyone help me?
