I am extending a phone number off of an SL-100 (distinctive ringing off) across an Adit 600 FXO FXS circuit into an NT8D14BB (rls 06) Universal trunk card on a Meridian 1 (Rls 24.24+). I am able to seize the line outgoing from the M1 but cannot get the trunk card to ring through to the line on the M1 on an incoming call. It will work if I connect an extension off of the M1 into the trunk card. I put a single line phone on the FXS circuit and it rings. The measured ringing voltage on a Beckman voltmeter is comparable between the two. I am looking for specs on the NT8D14BB trunk card and more detail on what the TIMR settings for NRD and RGV in the Route Data Block do. What specific ringing voltage and frequency is required for recognition by the trunk card?
Thank you in advance.

Do you Have a ring generator card on the PE shelf that is working?
The Nortel Meridian Ring Generator Card interfaces with PE cards to provide ringing to any analog device on the Meridian 1 PBX system. The Ring Generator Card will supply ringing to analog telephones, modems, fax machines, and telephone answering devices. The Nortel Meridian Ring Generator Card fits into the IPE module of Meridian Option PBX's.

...and I am trying to get it to ring on a multiline set if that makes a difference. (I do have 1FB's working this way on the Universal trunk card in question)

can you copy off the Tn on the universal trunk card that you are using, also copy the tn of the digital phone that you are using for this.

Everything looks good on the programming so now I would check out your trunk card, also I would also see if you can make this work on an analog set within the opt-11. If you can get the ringing on the remote side to an analog set within the opt-11, you should be able to go through the opt 11 and ring any phone. I tested out some of my Bell ringing voltages and I read anywhere from 85-95 VAC and they all work

Thanks Don.
It does work when I wire up a single line off of the Meridian 1. I suppose I will have to break out the oscilloscope and compare ringing signals between the two.

Just one other thought, Check your digital card by moving the 2616 to another tn and see if you get the ring on the phone. I have had stranger things happen.
