I just had one of these fail and I'm looking to replace it. If I buy a new (refurbished) one, do I just swap them out, or do I need to do any programming?

Don't even need to power off the pbx?

Slightly related:

What does Rise 01 mean? The card I've got that failed is a NT8D09AK Rise 01. The refurbished replacements I can find look like they say Rise 13 on the front (hard to tell from an enlarged photo).

Do I need to make sure the Rise # is the same on the replacement?

My opinion, for what it's worth. Good practice to disable the card and enable the card. The commands are there for a reason.

Just in case do an .EDD Dump (Backup) beforehand

I never swap out cards without that process...It's been known in the past for the switch to INI if it don't like what it see's
you've then lost all your changes made beforehand

Other than that do as the Guys KC and Bud suggest

Cheers!!
